Guest Terms
Last updated 26 August 2026. The terms that apply when you book an experience through WildRoots — see also our Platform Terms of Use and Cancellation Policy.
1. Requests, not instant bookings
WildRoots currently runs on a request basis. Sending a booking request does not itself confirm a booking — the host reviews it, and a booking is only confirmed once it's accepted and paid for. Full detail of that process is on our For Guests page.
2. Who you're contracting with
When a booking is confirmed, your contract for the stay, activity or experience itself is with the host who provides it — not with WildRoots. WildRoots facilitates the introduction, the request, and payment, but is not the party delivering the experience.
3. Packaged Travel Rights
Packaged Travel Rights do not apply to bookings made through WildRoots. WildRoots does not intend to sell package travel arrangements — each listing is a separate service booked directly with its host, and combining more than one WildRoots experience (for example a stay and a separate guided trek) means submitting a separate request for each, not a single packaged booking.
4. Payment
Once a host accepts your request, you'll receive a payment link. Your booking is confirmed once payment is completed, and you'll receive a confirmation and receipt.
5. Cancellations

6. Your responsibilities
Outdoor activities carry inherent risk. You're responsible for assessing whether an experience is suitable for you, for following the host's rules and safety guidance, and for your own travel insurance and fitness for the activity.
