WildRoots
Alpine meadow campsite at golden hour

Share your place

WildRoots puts hosts of sleep-outside stays, treks, expeditions, and outdoor skills courses in front of guests who are already looking for exactly that — not lost among generic stays on a general booking site.

Why host with us

Built for small operators, not franchises

Offer your land for camping

A meadow, a forest clearing, a quiet corner of a farm — if it's fit for sleeping outside, it's fit for WildRoots.

Share your knowledge and skills

Guiding, bushcraft, survival, trail knowledge — turn what you already know into an experience guests can book.

Create outdoor experiences

Build treks, expeditions or skills courses around the land and knowledge you already have.

Participate at your own convenience

List what you have, when you have it. No requirement to scale, no pressure to add capacity you don't want.

Join for free

There's no cost to create a listing or become a WildRoots host.

Get paid for bookings

You set the amount you want to receive — WildRoots handles the booking request and payment on top.

Good to know

What you're responsible for

Liability

You're responsible for ensuring your activity or location is legally permitted and safe for the guests you host.

Permits

You're responsible for checking the permits, regulations and land-use requirements that apply to your activity or location.

Commissions

WildRoots charges a commission per category — overnight stays are commissioned differently from treks, expeditions and skills courses. Exact rates are being finalized and will be confirmed here and in your host agreement before you go live.

Common questions

What hosts usually ask us

As the host, you're responsible for liability on your own land or activity — we'd recommend keeping your land/activity insurance current, the same as you would for any guests on your property. What WildRoots handles is guest verification, and removing any guest from the platform who doesn't follow the rules you set.

Yes — you're responsible for checking and complying with whatever permits, regulations or land-use requirements apply to your activity or location. WildRoots doesn't verify this on your behalf, so it's worth confirming before your listing goes live.

Every guest will book through a verified account, and you'll set your own house rules up front — pets, fires, group size, whatever matters to you. You're never obligated to accept a booking that doesn't feel right, and repeat issues get a guest removed from the platform.

You control your own calendar and pricing, and you only take the bookings you want. We're building the tooling to keep this to a few minutes a week, not a part-time job — and as a founding host, your feedback directly shapes what we build first.
