Last updated 13 August 2026. WildRoots is early — this is a plain explanation of what we collect and why, not a wall of legal text.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us directly, through the forms on this site:
- An enquiry about a listing — your name, email, and message, along with which listing you're asking about.
- A host application — your name, email, and details about your activity, location, and experience.
- Signing up to be notified — your email, and optionally your location and interests.
- A message sent through the contact page.
What we don't do
WildRoots doesn't use cookies, and doesn't run advertising or analytics trackers that follow you around the site. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for anything beyond what you gave it to us for.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry or message, to connect guests with hosts, to review host applications, and to email you when something you signed up for goes live. Nothing more.
Who we share it with
Listing enquiries and host applications are handled through Tally, our form provider — they process the submission and pass it to us. Notify-me sign-ups and contact messages are stored in a private Google Sheet. The site itself is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server access logs like any hosting provider. We don't share your information with anyone beyond these services needed to run WildRoots.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and applications for as long as it's useful for running WildRoots — for example, so a host can look back at a past enquiry. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@wildrootseu.com and we'll sort it out directly — there's no automated system standing in the way yet.
Children
WildRoots isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes
As WildRoots grows — a booking system, more hosts, more regions — this page will grow with it. We'll update the date at the top when it changes.
