Platform Terms of Use

Last updated 26 August 2026. The terms that govern using the WildRoots website and platform. This is a general framework for a pre-launch site — see the note at the end.

1. What WildRoots is

WildRoots is a platform that connects people who host outdoor experiences — places to sleep outside, treks, expeditions and outdoor skills courses — with people looking to book them. WildRoots itself does not own the land, run the activities, or act as a tour operator. Each listing is provided directly by the host named on it.

2. Using the platform

By using this website you agree to use it lawfully, in good faith, and not in a way that could damage, disable or interfere with it. Content submitted through our forms — enquiries, host applications, sign-ups — must be accurate to the best of your knowledge.

3. Hosts and listings

Hosts are responsible for the accuracy of their listing and for ensuring their activity or location is legally permitted, safe, and appropriately insured. Full detail is set out on our For Hosts page.

4. Guests and bookings

Bookings on WildRoots currently work on a request basis, not instant confirmation — see our Guest Terms and Cancellation Policy for the specifics of that process.

5. Intellectual property

The WildRoots name, branding and website design belong to WildRoots. Photos, descriptions and other content supplied by hosts remain theirs, shared with WildRoots for the purpose of operating their listing.

6. Liability

WildRoots facilitates the connection between hosts and guests but is not the provider of the underlying stay, activity or experience, and is not liable for how it is delivered. To the extent permitted by law, WildRoots' liability in connection with use of the platform is limited.

To be confirmed — the specific limitation-of-liability wording and any liability cap should be set with legal advice before this page is relied on commercially.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as WildRoots develops. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.

8. Governing law

WildRoots is a Netherlands-based platform and these terms are intended to be governed by the laws of the Netherlands.

To be confirmed — jurisdiction and dispute-resolution wording should be confirmed with legal advice.

A note on this page

WildRoots is pre-launch, and this page is a structural starting point rather than lawyer-reviewed terms. Sections marked “To be confirmed” need real legal input before WildRoots takes live bookings.
